About the Property
Located in the Tucson Mountains the owners requested a total kitchen makeover because the original kitchen was too small and dated with a low ceiling and a non-functional peninsula combined with a small window. The plan was to demolish the entire kitchen including the roof and exterior wall for expansion.
The design created a space that is visually welcoming from the adjacent spaces and is complementary aesthetically to the decor and finishes of the existing residence.
The additional square footage was to provide open friendly transitional area between rooms and eliminated what was a kitchen encroaching on the dining and living room. The additional space also provides a comfortable, functional cooking room with added countertop space and cabinets. The space and island is more than large enough to support gatherings with family and friends.
